Privacy policy

SoldProfit collects as little as it can. There is no account, no cookie of ours, no advertising and no Google Analytics. This page says what we do keep, why, and for how long.

The numbers you type

The calculator works them out in your browser; they are not sent to us. “Share my result” puts them in the link it makes, and nothing else: no name, no address, nothing about you. They reach us only if you ask us to email them to you.

Your email address, if you ask for your results

• We keep your address, the calculator you used and the date, and send you the email with your numbers and their link.
• Your address also joins SoldProfit’s own list: now and then, a note when a marketplace changes its fees or a new calculator opens. Every email has a one-click way out.
• To stop the email box being misused, we keep a scrambled form of your internet address for one day. It cannot be turned back into the address.

Your email address, if you join the profit tracker’s waitlist

• We keep your address and the date you joined, and write to you when the tracker opens. Nothing is charged, and no card is asked for.
• Your address is on SoldProfit’s own list, marked as the waitlist: now and then, a note when a marketplace changes its fees. Every email has a one-click way out.
• To stop the form being misused, we keep a scrambled form of your internet address for one day, as for the email box.

Visit counts

To know which pages help people, the site counts page views and the use of each calculator (that it was used and for which marketplace, never the amounts). It stores a random number in your browser (not a cookie, not linked to who you are) so a visitor is counted once a day, not once per page, and notes the name of the website that sent you here (just its name, like google.com). To leave robots and our own visits out of the counts, it also looks at your browser type and the country our network provider reports; neither is stored. Only daily totals are kept: the random numbers, and what was noted with them, are deleted after 30 days.

Server logs

Like every website, our server and our network provider see your internet address when you load a page, to deliver it and to stop abuse. Those logs are kept for at most 14 days.

Cookies

SoldProfit sets none. Cloudflare, which protects the site, may set a strictly necessary security cookie when it checks for robots. If the site ever needs a cookie that is not strictly necessary, it will ask you first.

Who helps us run the site

• Brevo sends the emails you ask for.
• Cloudflare delivers the pages and the mail written to us.
• Vultr hosts our server, where the addresses and counts are kept.

We share nothing with anyone else, except when the law requires it. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising.

How long we keep it

• Your email address: until you leave the list or ask us to delete it; then it is gone within 30 days.
• Visitor numbers: 30 days. Server logs: 14 days. Daily totals, which identify no one, are kept.

Your choices

Leave the list with the link in any of our emails, or write to hello@soldprofit.com to see, correct or delete what we have. Residents of states with privacy laws (such as California, Texas or Virginia), and of the EU and the UK, have these rights by law; we give them to everyone.

Children

The site is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date below changes with it. SoldProfit is the site at soldprofit.com, reached at the address above.
